| Opinions on this small 9mm? |

im kinda on the fence about the emp. i wouldn't mind having a 40 cal version, but i hear about nothing but probs with them. they seem to be wrought with reliability issues, and you pretty much have to send them back to springer to work right. not cool on an $1,100 gun.
and that's another thing-where does springer get off charging $1,100 for the emp's? do you really see $1,100 worth of craftsmanship in them? if i can find a smokin deal on a hardly used one, i might buy it, but other than that i'll pass. |

The early EMP's had some teething pains as is the norm with anything new, however they seem to have developed a pretty strong following. Wouldn't mind having one myself. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=5&f=34&t=49246 |

The local gun store didn't have any in stock. I asked, and the guy that worked there said they sold about as fast as they came in. That's probably why they can charge $1.1k, because they can sell them quickly at that price. |

I like the EMP's but decided on the Kimber Ultra CDP in 9mm instead. Both really nice, just a few more features on the Kimber. Two of my friends have EMP's in 9mm and another has an SA Micro Compact in 9, all are really nice and I would be happy with any of them. |

I have one in 9mm with over 800 rds through it. I have put ball, hp ,brass case and steel case with no malfunctions. I did do a ramp job before shooting though. One of the best weapons I have fired. Weapon loves oil. So keep well lubed and it will fire. That's the biggest misstake people do when first getting the weapon is not keeping it oiled enough when breaking it in. I know late post |

It probably costs them a lot more to make the downsized parts than to make than the full size parts they've been making for years. $1100 is agreeably high though. |
