| I picked up a Loaded Micro Compact a few weeks back. I love everything about the gun except for the beavertail grip safety, specifically the little nub that sticks out of the bottom. They say it's supposed to help you get a better grip on the gun but all it does is irritate my hand after a few magazines. This is my first 1911, so pardon me if this is a dumb question, but is it possible to change out just this part? If so, is this something I can do by myself or would it be better to have a gunsmith do it? Finally, if I can replace it, if someone would be so kind as to point me toward the correct part, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! |
