Picked up my Springfield Pro yesterday, cleaned and lubed it. Finishing up a class tonight, my YoBo gun finally broke (much anticipated). Switched to the completely untested Pro, my only other 1911, with excellent results. The pistol ran well for the remainder of the class. I was initially concerned that the gun might not be zeroed, but the windage seemed to be correct. It'll be interesting to see how the elevation checks out at 25 yards. Surprisingly, I did not notice any difference when shooting the Springfield. Going from a high cut front strap, short trigger, and YoBo sights, to a regular front strap, long trigger, and Novak sights, did not affect my performance at all. Will do a little review after I send a few cases through the gun. Definitely a good start. |
Ain't that the truth. I am not easy on my guns, either. The occasional broken part doesn't really bother me. They're tools, not Faberge Eggs! |
the way you said "much anticipated" made me think you were bashing YoBo, and you are disgusted by the way i read it. I would have worded it different i guess i dont know. |
No bashing and no disgust. Otherwise, there are more interesting things to say. In my original review I stated I would simply shoot it to failure. It became very clear that the gun wasn't going to malfunction, so I figured the only way it would stop is if something broke.
I think so. |
now where'd I put that extra Colt.
