[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Springfield Range Officer - No ILS

Perhaps times are changing and Springfield has seen the light. I just ordered a 5 inch Range Officer in .45 through BudsGunShop (LE purchase). I already ordered a MSH and parts kit to replace the stupid ILS...but I picked the gun up today and it doesn't have ILS. The MSH doesn't have the two holes for the ILS key; it looks like any other normal MSH.

This is awesome! I'll update with pics.

No, it isn't used. I bought it new, from Buds. It was packaged like all the other new Springfield guns I've purchased were.

SA started shipping non-ILS guns a few months ago.
I got a RO Operator 9mm without it, but the LB Operator I got in January has it.

I'd hazard a guess that all non Cali approved guns are going Non-ILS. Not sure if the RO was Cali Approved or not. My LBO had the ILS, but my RO Op did not.

Was it in stock or did your reserve it? I recently reserved a TRP from buds (LEO, qualified professional) and I'm not so sure it'll be in before the 90 days and I may just cancel after that....they also allow the reservation of an RO 9mm which I want too.

This has been true for a couple months. My buddies new RO Operator came without ILS.

I just bought a new RO yesterday, my first 1911

, and it doesn't have it either.
