I've got a couple of TRP's, one of which I'm going to sell...and trying to determine a fair price. It's the black, armory coat, non-railed version. It has black VZ Gatorback G10 grips, with the original TRP grips. It also has 2 NIW Wilson Combat mags. Nothing else has been altered on it. At very most, 500 rounds down the pipe....quite possibly less but I'm rounding up to be as fair as possible. What's a good price to set for this gun? ETA: I don't see any price check restrictions in the 1911 Forum rules, but if this is in the wrong section Mods, please let me know and I'll make corrections. |
| I also live in Florida and have had mine up on a few sites for $1k and barely have any interest. For some reason everyone wants a Kimber or Sig Sauer 1911. I can't believe when I see a middle of the ground Kimber priced higher than you can get it new for get a bunch of attention on a group, but a gun priced almost $400 less than new no one wants anything to do with. I guess people don't realize the difference in quality and just see the name or because it looks prettier. Good luck on your sale though. |

Frankly anyone who chooses a Kimber over a TRP is a freakin moron, but that's just my opinion of course. |

I wish I could find a TRP for $975 around here. The only 1911s I ever see on the local trader's page on Facebook here are Kimbers, and I'm just not interested in them. Same here for the most part. People jump all over those though, used TLE's for $1k, and they get sold, meanwhile a TRP gets nothing priced the same. Don't even ask what kind of trades I get offered, it's insulting sometimes. If it's a Sig or Kimber with a rail forget about it, people lose their minds. |

Trp's are very rare around my area. 2 used ones have been stuck at around $1200 for a few months on a few of the gun boards here. Never seen one new or used in any local shops. Buds has them for around $1300 new. Edit: Most everyone around my area is either cheap or completely broke as anything I get offered is overpriced glocks or mosin nagants or some other shitty rifle. |

Interesting, I'd have thought it would be a fairly easy sell at $1K. The gun is pristine, I'm going to try for $1K and see what I can do with that I suppose. 2 NIW WC mags and VZ grips, IMO, should justify the price....but I guess I'll see. Wish I had the money so I could buy it off you |

I recently sold my non-rail TRP for $1000 very quickly using a local internet listing. Also sold a Trophy Match for $900. The TRP was pristine, not a mark on it.
The TM had a hint of an idiot scratch but otherwise pristine. Both had gi guide rods and plugs installed, but the original two-piece crap was included with each sale. |

I would agree. Kimber's only good pistol is Any model with out a II behind it. Everything else is just expensive Fluff.
