I would like to know if anyone here has checked the factory stock trigger pull weight with a trigger pull scale of a Springfield 1911A1 'Range Officer' ?
I bought my RO new and now it has about 3500 rounds thru it. Using a Wheeler Engineering trigger pull scale my RO has a consistent  4 pound pull.

How about the trigger pull weight (with a scale) of a Springfield model PI9134LP which is their Loaded stainless steel full size 1911 with target sights and is chambered in 9mm Luger?
My Pl9134LP 9mm 1911 has a consistent 3.5 pound pull..

I bought a new XDm that has about 3000 rounds thru it. In factory stock it had 6.2 pound trigger pull.
Now I have installed a Powder River 'Drop in Trigger Kit', the $125 kit without a new sear. I installed the trigger, the lightest or competition trigger spring and the new trigger safety-the metal piece.
In the slide I installed the new lite safety plunger spring and the spring they call firing pin spring. The firing pin spring that I installed is not the competition spring which is designated by a blue paint daub. I did install the stiffer of the 2 springs.
With that stuff installed and lubed and using a Wheeler Engineering trigger scale the pull weight is 3 pounds when the scale hook is placed at the center of the trigger shoe. When the scale hook is placed at the bottom at the trigger shoe where there is the most leverage pull weight is a little less that 3 pounds.
That's lite. What do you think about that?

Post your examples of measured trigger pull weight.

Thanks

I sent my XDm back to Springfield and had them put in a PRP trigger. It's set at 3.5lb. Definitely better than the factory stock trigger pull and I shoot much more accurately with the new trigger.

On their XD custom worksheet, they have listings of the different triggers you can put on them and the trigger pulls associated with them,
