Greetings all. Today I looked at a springfield armory XD mod.2 in .45 acp. It felt very comfortable in my hand. At about $550+tax it ain't cheap. What I kinda want to know is how many here on arfcom own one, and like or dislike it. How does it hold up. Any problems? I'll probably go back tomorrow and put it on layaway. I've never owned a pistol without a hammer, and never had one with a polymer frame. I do own a .45-a springfield 1911 that I've had for near 20 years. Anyway, let me know your opinions. I'm not interested in buying a glock.

| I've got the XD Compact 45 and love it. I think it's a bit bigger than the Mod 2, but for me it's exactly the right size for a compact 45 and it's 10+1. In my opinion, the XD and XDM line are great guns. Most complaints seem to stem around it being made in Croatia or the fact that Springfield put their name on an existing product and started charging more. Neither of which has ANYTHING to do with the overall quality of the firearm. |
