Holy crap, I didn't realize Vermont was so... logical!  I wrote them off as a bunch of weed-smoking hippies!

"Anyone who can legally own a firearm can carry it anywhere in Vermont without a permit.
Vermont has no laws concerning CCW or Carrying handguns in a vehicle."

That's just f**kin' cool.

Seriously.  I don't see Vermont exploding in a hellhole of violence... that would be Detroit, a little taste of the third world right here in our own country!

I'm in Vermont this weekend as it happens for a wedding. It was neat to be able to pack my gun knowing that I'd be able to carry without any BS or non-resident permits etc.

I love any state that has no CCW laws and has Ben and Jerry's factory tours a few short miles away from the Cabot cheese factory

Oh yeah - last year (2006) VT had a grand total of 5 firearms related homicides statewide. Apparently the guns here don't just jump out of their holsters and randomly shoot people like they do in NY, CA, MA, IL.....

No shit.  It's nice to see some governments realize that firearms are nothing but a mechanical tool with a very specific function.  They can be used in a legal manner or illegal manner... just like every other inanimate object.

Gee, what a concept!
