I would love to change out the poly guide rod on my 9mm P99 for a metal one. Only one I can find online is Steve Bedair. I hear he does great work but Steve himself told me that his rods can not be blued so I would have a stainless steel rod sticking out the end of my black gun.

Anyone know of another place to get one that you can recommend doing business with?

I am not trying to be a pain, or anything, but
what's wrong the stock guide rod?

My P99 runs great with the stock one.

Gunners are like golfers, we all have our little superstitions. Mine includes the idea that guide rods that flex are not as reliable as ones made of steel.
Mine runs great with the factory rod too but I would like to swap it for a steel one if possible.

I guess I got that out of my system years
ago when we were building stock 1911's
into IPSC "race Guns".
