I'm looking to get a Steel Target for my Dad.
He's going to be shooting .45LC, fairly light 200gr loads.
The only reasonably priced (around $50) target I've found that seems close to standing up to .45LC is this one.

What do you guys use or recommend?
Thanks!

You can make your own pretty cheaply and easily.

Wideners has a 1/2" plate on their website, but looks to be more than you want to spend, particularly with shipping... LINK

It's easy to make, the problem is having the tools to make one. Call Mike, he has steel target for a very good price.

Does he was a spinner or just something that goes "clang"?

You can buy a 12" x 12" x 3/8 piece of 4140 steel from McMaster-Car for 9 bucks plush shipping.

Here is the best money you will spend. Look at the std auto-popper at the bottom. http://www.mgmtargets.com/products/product_page.php?cat=1

I have 2 and have shot 9mm to 44 mag at them for over 10 years.  You can move them out a bit and shoot all the .223 you want at it. They will stand up to 308 but the face plate will crack after time.
