| I've never had a Glock, but have thought about it from time to time. I thought about it again today and looked at a new one at a local gun shop. The last time I looked, years ago, the trigger felt like it pulled under six pounds. This time it was more - much more. The counter guy said they all ship with 12-pound triggers - can this be true? If so, why? |

If so, why? Not true. The standard Glock trigger spring and connector provides about a 5 lb to 5.5 lb trigger pull. Heavier connectors and trigger springs can be installed. A Glock with a 12 lb. trigger pull probably has a NY2 trigger spring installed. http://www.glockmeister.com/GLOCK-New-York-Trigger-Spring-2-12-LBs/productinfo/G7412/ ETA: The label on the side of the factory plastic case will tell you what trigger weight the gun came with from the factory. |

5.5 lb, dude. Never, ever listen to anything the gun store guy says. If I ever find myself in agreement with a gun store clerk, I have to reassess my opinion because I must be wrong. ![]() OUCH! We're not all that bad! But yeah, that guy was incorrect. |

Could be. He mentioned ATF agents, but didn't recognize that Sig had lost their contract. Maybe it was just a way to upsell a replacement trigger...

We're not all that bad! But yeah, that guy was incorrect. I'm kidding, kind of... We (in a city of 1 million people) have exactly 1 gun shop where the guys know what they're talking about. I love going there. They actually send their guys to handgun and carbine classes. So there are a few out there who get it. |
