| Do any of you have space issues in your safe? I am trying to figure out how to attach holsters or hangers of some sort to the door of my safe to put my handguns so they are not just piled up on the floor and to get 1 I have to move 3 long guns.Any ideas?[Please don't tell me to get a bigger safe,I know that is coming]thanks,Molon Labe! |

My safe has a sheet metal cover with holes like peg board. I read about this and it works for me. Go to Homo Depot or Lowe's and go to the tool organization area. Look for the silver hooks that attach to pegboard, buy one for each handgun. Then take the hooks to the area where they have the clear vinyl (?) tubes they sell by the foot. Find the one that will fit over the hook body, it will have to be forced on for a good snug fit. Make sure you buy enough tubing to fit all your hooks, I bought a foot. Slip em on, attach to your interior door if it has a metal peg board and hang your pistolas on the hook. I hang mine by the trigger guard. Make sure you space them out so that they do not rub one another or touch anything else. Don't slam the door on your safe!!  Hope this works for you! Let us know what the inside of your door is like. Some people have used the plastic letter collators/dividers from Wally World--they are typically what you would use in an office. |

I made a wooden "rack" of sorts -- it holds all of my handguns vertically but keeps them apart from each other. That almost doubled my handgun shelf capacity! The rack is simply a piece of wood with notches cut into it where the handguns rest, (by their trigger guard balance point) and are spaced out evenly, just far apart enough to keep the guns from touching one another. Works like a charm! As for long-guns, that requires a second safe, as I found out...Working on number three soon. |
Not me, I bought the biggest one the dealer had on the floor. And it's full now. Guess I need to find another dealer....

It is cheaper than an alarm. I store the oxyacetylene close too. This pic is 10 years old. Most of those guns are long gone, and the safe was 2 safes ago, and the house is different, and I saved money switching to Geico, and I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.......   NOTICE THE PLATE RACKS. Forget the hand grenade and black powder.

I've got a cloth "panel" that hangs on the inside of the door. It's made by Cannon Safes. It comes with 6 "holsters" with velcro that hang on the panel. I looked for the pakage it came in so I could give ya the model and such , but can't find it. Dammit, I just saw it last week when I was lookin' for something else  I just went to Cannon's website and didn't see it listed. When I find the info I'll post it here. |
