Just when I had my self talked into the TLR-2, I heard about the Blast 2. Seems the TLR-2 has quite a few for, but a few against. Haven't found much about the Blast-2. The Blast 2 (LED version) has considerbly more lumens and I assume (but don't know) a brighter laser. Can't really find any specs on the TLR-2 laser. The apparent disadvantages to the Blast are the cost (much more), the size (looks much wider), and holster selection (if there even are any). A holster is not a big requirment for me. I typically just buy paddles for easy attachment for holding the pistol at the range. The questions are: 1. I the Blast really better suited for a rifle? 2. I the additional lumens really needed in a home defence situation? I really like the aluminum body of the TLR-2, the smaller size, and of coarse the cost, but I'm willing to spend the $ and go holsterless if the performance difference justifies it. Thanks, P7 |
