Hey guys, as some of you know I just picked up a Glock30 SF and was having problems finding a light for it. I found a bunch of reviews on the X2, but couldn't find ANY on the TLR-3. Because of this I decided to make my own.

Follow that for a link to my new blog. There is also a video review that I made linked into the blog. Check it out if any of yall are undecided on which light to go with.

90 Lumens?

That's a little low for 2009.

I love me TLR-2's but have recently come across a great deal on X300's ($129.00!) and bought 4 (not enough...I should have bought more.

The Surefire is incredible and aluminum and has a tight beam that'll beat out the Streamlight, handily. And I like Streamlight...

I love my TLR-3.  Small, and puts out plenty of light.

90 is PLENTY, unless you're trying to outshine other brighter light sources.

Remember 60 lumens was "ungodly bright" just a few years back, and stil is if it's the only light being used in the area.

In comparison to the SF X300, the SL is smaller, lighter, cheaper and uses one battery instead of two.  You only give up 20 lumens (90 compared to 110) which is minimal in the grand scheme of things, though the SF's reflector and lens may take better advantage of available wavelength (debatable).  You did just fine, IMO.

I just ordered a TLR3 tonight,I like the looks of it,and the idea that it only uses one battery, that I can pick up at the pharmacy around the corner.

I am going to put it on my G17 nightstand pistol.

OP should post up some photos showing a good angle on the controls position on the Glock. If not,I will when I recieve mine.
