What light would be a good choice for a G17C? I've never tried one out so what are some of the pros and cons? Thanks for input

Either one should work well. I have two M3 Insight Techs (Streamlight) that I use on my 3 Glocks and AR and shotgun. I've been very pleased with their performance. I'm sure the Surefire is great too, but I haven't used their weaponlights (flashlights are great). I think the Streamlight is a little more compact and less expensive. The Surefire is probably a little more rugged, though I've had no problem with the M3. If you want a holster you might find one light is easier to find a holster to fit versus the other (I have a Safariland for my 19/23 w/M3).

Surefire X200 hands down.

I have owned both and would never own another M3.

Surefires warraty reads "You break it, we fix it or replace it" and it's no sh!t

We broke a tab off the switch on an $119 M3 and they made us buy a new switch.

One of my co-workers cross threaded the head on a $500 Surefire MP5 foreend weapons light and it took one phone call to get a NEW foreend replacement in exchange

Let me quote Surefire again . . . "You break it, we fix it or replace it"

Real equipment made for actual use.  Damn refreshing

The M3 is damn near all polymer.  The X200 is constructed of Aluminum and is made to be used in real life.

The X200 is brighter and has already been pointed out, the X200 bulb is a very bright LED and has the life span of a small dog!

Buy quality, buy once

Yes

And again, I shoot from retention all the time, it's a main part of training I do.

My main G19C has over 100,000 rounds through it to this point
