I was reading about these somewhere on this site & now I can't find it so I need a lil help. I had a Sub 9 years ago & didn't like it, cause it wouldn't work properly with the cheap ( all metal ) aftermarket glock 30 round mags. So I got rid of it. Now that I'm a lil older ( & somewhat wiser hat The Kel-tec site says that the new Sub 2000 can be had in a G17 or a G19 mag configureation. I have 2 questions really ... 1 - is the Sub 2000 any good , really improved over the Sub 9 ? 2 - If I get the G19 style it'll take my G19 15 round mags & the G19 17 round mags & the 30 round factory mags too ... right ? |

Go here and check out the Sub2000 section.www.ktog.org/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl I have the Sub2000 Glock17 version and it works with any factory G17 Glock mags. I believe the Sub9 held the bolt open open on the last shot but the Sub2000s don't. Wish they would have left that feature in. My Sub2000 has been 100% reliable with all ammo and very accurate. |
The 17 model Sub 2K feels a lot like a Glock 19. The model that takes the 19 mags feels a lot more like a Glock 26. The 19 model is hard to find, KT doesn't make many of them. From what I've read, it's pretty easy to take a 17 model and trim it down to fit the 19 mags. And yeah, you might have a problem finding one right now. KT seems to make them in batches, and they're in between production runs. |
