I am in need of a summer carry piece. The three choices I am going back and forth on:
G30 G29 G26 Arfcom, what say you? |

I can't comment on the 29. I've owned a 30 and it was a terrific .45. With a 10 round mag in it, it has the height and length of a G19, but it's a little thicker. Not hard to carry, but not deep concealment either.
The G26 starts to get you closer to deep concealment, especially with the flush magazine employed. I think this depends on what caliber you really want and what level of concealment you want to achieve. |
| I have a G26 and a G30. My G30 is mainly used when I am wearing more than just a t-shirt. My G26 is my main summer gun, because I wear cargo shorts most of the time, and I can carry it in the front pocket with a minimum of printing, and it is very light. YMMV!!! |

Yeah I do know the mags will work. I am attempting to fight off the 10mm fever.... I have always liked the 26 as well. I guess I will just have to shoot the three and see what is best. I fired the 9mm, 40 S&W, and the 45 subcompacts. Grips were to short, I bought a G23 compact and it carries real good, the subcompacts slowed my draw due to the short grip. Mike |

Glock 19. If you are going to add a finger groove on a 26, you might as well get the 19 and have the extra rounds. The one thing I want in a defensive pistol that I may have to access in a hurry, under stress, is a decent sized grip. Vote for the G19 again  In fact buy 2  |

Both are carried small of back or with a Galco in the pants holster. Both have great loads available, fast and light 9mm and the .45 leaves big holes. Pretty much your call. |

| i ccw a G29sf year round in a M-TAC i'm 5-11 165 and i have no problems hiding it under a t shirt in the summer, i've thought about a G26 but i'll just carry my P3AT if i need something smaller than my G29, i rarely carry the keltec anymore, 10mm gives you a good piece of mind but hey, i love 10mm!!! |
