I noticed the end of the twp piece guide rod, behind where the hex key goes to turn it, there is what looks like a hole punched out, possibly from drilling it. I looked in there with a flashlight and could see a little rust. I called SA and they sent me a new one, no questions asked, and lo and behold, the new one has this as well.
I guess they all have this. I doubt it would ever cause any kind of issue. Just noticed it after going over the gun with a fine toothed comb. |

look through you owners manual specifically the dis-assembly, you can put a paper clip or the provided pin makes getting the Railed TRP apart easier The TRP Operator has the bushingless barrel and requires the tool but the TRP has the bushing and once the guide rod is unscrewed it strips like any other 1911. |
