Looks like you get night sights, wood grips, checkered front and backstrap, and skeletonized trigger for about $375 over the stock Pro Carry.

I'd say it's a break-even on the price (particularly considering refinishing).

If I had it to do over I'd have gotten the Pro Carry HD with the steel frame.  Not that I've got problems, but the feed ramp does get scuffed up pretty good from hollowpoints.

You'll also want to make sure you use mags with skirted followers to avoid feed ramp gouge.

I'm saying that if you're aware of potential issues with Al framed 1911s, and you like the gun then there's no reason I know of not to get one.

carry one every day in a MTAC, no function issues. eats Gold Dots in Willison mags. the only thing i dont like is the finish on the slid seems "soft', it is comeing off too easily IMO. it gives it that worn look. not bad but not good. I think any gun with this type of finish will do it. other than that great gun. had all the up grades on it I wanted, checkering, night sites, mag well, ect.

Mine is great even with the external extractor everyone seems to hate. I also carry daily in an MTAC.

I had one, it never ran 100% even with Wilson mags, but I liked the gun. The only downside to it for me is that the .22 conversion kit isn't compatible with the mag well.
