It seems pretty much all the reviews I've found are negative, but most of them are a few years old from around when the kits first came out.  Anyone have any more recent experience with this kit?  Have they improved on their reliability?  And for those of you that have them how do you like them and how's the accuracy?

I already have an AA kit for a G19, but it's very picky on ammo and I don't like how light the slide is.  I'd like a kit for a G17 frame and it appears the TacSol one is heavier than the AA and works on both Gen 3 and Gen 4 frames which would be great since I have both.

This is the best deal I've been able to find.  http://grabagun.com/cmmg-arc-22-convr-ss-w-3-26rdmg.html
It ran 100% the first time out.  I ran between 200 and 300 rounds through it.  Group sizes were pretty bad. 4-6" at 50 yards, but my .223 groups were also pretty bad that day.

I have an early one. Runs like a champ as long as you don't feed it Winchester.

Thanks for the replies.  How well does it run with stuff like 36gr Federal Valuepack and Rem Golden Bullets?  Or does it need 40gr to function reliably?  And is it at least as accurate as a stock Glock?  It looks like the sights are changeable with any standard Glock sights, right?

I shoot most ammo through it. Interestingly enough I shot some  automatch and it didnt like it at all. Accuracy is acceptable for plinking and running drills. You arent going to win any bullseye competitions.
Im pretty sure it accepts standard glock sites. I also cant remember if the slide locks back on the last shot.

Also, emailed replied to.

I must have missed this.  My bad.  I thought we were talking ARs...

I just recently bought a Gen 2 to use with a Gen 4 G17. Midway had them on sale for $299.

Mine is just as accurate as the normal G17 slide/barrel as far as I can tell. I have just shot it offhand though, so no bench rested results.

It shoots reliably with CCI's and Remington golden bullets. I have smoothed it up some and it is starting to run hit or miss with Federal bulk. I think after I get some more rounds through it it might cycle those decently.

It does take Glock sights. However, I just put a set of Ameriglos on it and had to shim the rear sight because it was loose in the dovetail.

Overall I am happy with it and would buy it again.

Picking one up tomorrow.  It's used with a threaded barrel and 7 15rd mags.  If she runs well I plan to get a dedicated frame and can for it.

You're in the Glock forum

I don't have a Tac Sol kit, mine is the Advantage Arms.  It works well with Golden Bullets.

My AA 17 and 26 kit eat Remington gun, blazer, min mag, ar tactical like Rosie odonnell at the Golden Corral. Fed bulk pack runs "okay".
