I love my M-19s and think that the 4" model is just about the greatest thing ever made. But sometimes, at the range, I really get the urge to use it to really reach out there and touch someone. It's great to be able to shoot a little revolver with only a 4" barrel at distances no sane person would attempt. So, to help cover up my total lack of skill, I bought a set of sport target grips for it. And guess what? They really work.

I found these at CDNN for $15.00. They're listed as the K&L frame Competition Zebra grips. A couple seconds to swap grips at the range and I'm all set. Using these grips is about like shooting with a Ransom Rest.

Here's my M-19 with normal carry grips,

and here are the Target grips.

Just don't expect to use speed loaders with these.

try this website:

randall fung has been making grips for semi-autos and revolvers for years. he measures your shooting hand, or you can send a xerox and he will HAND MAKE the grip. i have one on my S&W model 41 (.22 cal semi-auto) and youre right, anatomical grips make a hell of a lot of difference!!!

He sells those for $15.00?

Seriously, I was aware of Fung and also the great grips from Nils. The big advantage to these is that they work, I can just throw them in the range bag and I have almost no investment should they get lost.
