I "need" another full size 45, something in a polymer frame, hi cap, with a rail.
I checked out several at the local fun show today.
Never liked the feel of a Glock, The USP just felt wrong. I know it's nice - just not for me.
Narrowed it down to the Taurus 24/7 or the Springfield XD45. I liked both equally. The Taurus is $130 cheaper, I can put the extra cash toward an M6.
Need pros and cons from people who own/shoot both.

Thanks

I personally like the XD45.  Springfield has great customer support too!

IMHO they are not even on the same playing field.  The XD is a much better weapon.  Better made, better customer service, better ergonomics, better sights, better finish, better trigger and I could go on.  Forget about the Taurus and go with the SA.  Wait a little longer to get the M6.

XD .45 is what I would and did choose. I like the trigger much better and the grip,

I've owned both the XD and a 24/7 (mine was in .40 tho).

Both are excellent weapons. Very similar.

I also debate the idea that Taurus has a lesser CS. They have a lifetime warranty, and the company was very helpful with one small issue I had on another Taurus gun.

If it came down to buying only one, all over again, I would choose the Taurus on ergonomics and feel - less recoil, more comfortable grip and I'd choose the XD on trigger and upgradability. Both are so much alike it's a tossup but I happen to shoot the 24/7 better. YMMV.
