| I found a used Taurus 651 with hammer shroud, blue finish used NRA 85%. The guy wants $350.00 is this too much to pay for a used Taurus 357 magnum 2 in barrel. I just want a BUG to my Glock 27. Would I be better off waiting for the right deal on a S&W. |

In my opinion that's way too much for a used Taurus. That's $50 more than I paid for my used S&W 38 Bodyguard and the same as I paid for a used, like new, Ruger SP-101. If you want a revolver for a BUG get a 38 Special J frame S&W. If you want a .357, look at the Ruger SP-101. |

Ruger SP101 is a little tough to find lately, and is another 3 oz heavier than the Taurus 605.
Lately, Tauruses have been coming with really nice triggers...very smooth. JGSales has Taurus 85 38spcl or Taurus 605 357 magnum for 339 NIB Also they have Smith 442 for 459. I'm normally partial to Smiths, but I think the Tauruses are an outstanding deal lately. Warranty for the life of the firearm is tough to beat as well. If $ no object, or going for light weight, pick Smith. Otherwise get TaurusArmed. |
