Anybody have one? How are they accuracy wise? How about reliability? Thanks John

I bought one about a year ago. Shoots fine, death to bowling pins, and have had no issues. I don't shoot a lot, but i've put maybe 400-500 rds through it.

I've got a 9mm Millennium PT-111 Pro. I've carried it for a good while. I've never had a failure of any kind (after maybe 1k rounds). Accuracy is respectable for CCW, slightly less accurate over 15 yards than my SIGs, but that may be because of 1) barrel length difference or 2) stiffer trigger pull than my SIGs.

ETA: Oops!! I misread the title and thought you were asking about the PT 111!

Sorry!

I have a PT 1911.

It shoots pretty damn good, and I haven't had a problem with it yet.

I've shot about 500 rounds of Wolf, 400 rounds of WWB, about 110 of Cor-Bon DPX, And maybe 50 of Hornady TAP.

It looooves the DPX.  I buy it like candy

ETA: I think it's going to get a refinished slide, some new sights (even though the Straight-8's are sweet) and custom Alumagrips.

All in, likely one of the best values goin for a new 1911. You get a drop forged frame and slide, all the common GI model upgrades already on it right out of the box. If you do some reading on various forums concerning the blued 1911, you'll see the one issue thats common to them, the blued/black finish isnt so durable. Aside from that, the reliabilty is outstanding, they will feed anything you care to run in them, and they are very accurate. I have a blued version, and just got the long awaited stainless model which is finally available, zero reliability issues with either of them. You'll pay a bit more for the stainless, IMHO it's well worth it.

I've had two of them and still have one.  The first one had 750 rounds thru it with no failures of any type except for HSM JHPS. Neither of my PT1911s will feed that ammo reliably with the Taurus mags or with Wilson 47Ds.  My second and current PT1911 has 1700 trouble free rounds thru it.  With Independence 230 grn FMJ or WW 230 grn JHPs I can do 1.5 in 5 shot groups at 45 ft and I'm not the best shot around! With my Kimber Pro Carry the best I can do is 1.25 in 5 shot groups at the same distance. My average groups usually run more to the 2 - 4 in groups at 45 ft.  Accuracy is more than good enough for self defense!!

A 45 may not expand but it will never be smaller than .45!!

What's involved with refinishing? How much does it run? What options finish-wise are out there? I've already noticed some wear on my PT1911, and if it's reasonable it's something I'd look into having done.

JoJo's Gunworks does an awesome nickel teflon finish.

This is sdrct (my dad's) Taurus.  JoJo's did his slide.  It's kind of a crappy picture.  In real life, it it much lighter in color, and a lot shinier.  It is super slick, and holds lube very well.  I don't remember how much it was, but I'm sure John or Jody at JoJo's would be more than happy to help you out.

I have both, the PT911 and the PT1911.

Both are excellent guns, shoot everything I've ever fed them, accurate, and go bang when I pull the trigger.

I'd recommend either one.

I have one...stainless with a light rail. I can send pics if you like.

I bought this for my wife and she loves it. She had issues with the KelTec P11 I bought her and this solved all of her "issues". Mags are a little harder to find in 15 round size but it can be done. My lone complaint is the factory grips. They are soft and very flexible. I would like to get them replaced with either a harder polymer or wood. I have found them on the web but I am funding other projects right now.

I also have a PT945 in blue with as light rail as well. I like this one. Fires nice and the double action is slick. I have not replaced my Kimber as a daily carry weapon with it but I wouldn't feel worried about doing so if needed. I know you didn't ask about the .45 but they are very close...in design and function and either one will be a good addition.
Now ask me about my H&Ks...

I love mine I have a couple th rounds thru it now and not had one bit of trouble with it !
I will say I think the finish is a bit thin ! but I plan on dura coating it anyway
