I own a taurus PT 908 which seems to have a problem with loading shells. The lip always catches and the shell dosent go into the chamber. Anyone own one of these? Any special ammo you use? Or should I shave that area (the part that guides the shell into the chamber) a little so it dosent catch on the lip of some rounds?

I see you are in MN so it unlikely you own the one I sold a few years ago.  I had the same problem sent the gun back to Taurus for an unsuccessful attempt at fixing it.  The symptoms on mine where: it would work just fine with about 5 or less shells in the mag, give it a full mag and it would not feed.  The cartridge would nose dive into the feed ramp and tie up the gun. If I had to take a guess it was a mag spring weight issue.   I gave up on it and finally sold it.

Yea when it catches it just barley gets the lip stuck on it... I bet if you just barly took a file to it, it wouldnt catch anymore. I'll try it out.

I have one and have never had any problems with it.  I use mostly 115gr FMJ, but also have fed it up to 147gr JHP.  I would contact Taurus to see if they can help.
If you want to try to fix it yourselft, test the mag with a different number of rounds, as mentioned above.  Or try a new mag.  If you think it's the feed ramp, you can try polishing that area a little.

If you do send it back go to www.taurususa.com/main/index.cfm for the hows and whatfors. Turnaround is usually pretty quick.
