While I'm a rather vocal proponent of the G17 being the supreme Glock (and it is) I wanted to have a different Glock than anyone else.
I had this 19.4 living in the safe and decided I'd make a sweet "custom" carry gun out of it. So off it went to Colt at the ARFCOM custom shop for some slide work, while there are preset packages offered by the ARFCOM store, I didn't want to get too flashy and have it retain a somewhat factory appeal. Colt matched the rear serrations with some on the front and refinished it in their nitride finish. I must say the work turned out excellent - my favorite aspect is the sanitizing of the left side of the slide, I think it looks slick. I sent the barrel off to CCR Refinishing for a coat of their CPII finish, which also turned out great. Got the slide back today and threw it together. So I present you with the Finslayer Custom Carry or "How to throw away money on a perfectly fine pistol"

Looks nice. Corey's son Colt? I remember him when he was a kid with his dad at the local machine-gun shoots. Perhaps - not sure. If he's the one that runs arfcom's machining work then yes! Great guy to work with - made it real easy to deviate from the "set packages" but still be done via the Arfcom shop. |

Finslayer, that is one sweet custom carry G19. All the good, none of the bad. Once I get my Gen 2 put together, it will look very similar. Now if we could get Glock to make a G19 frame with a G17 length grip, then we would truly have the ultimate Glock. Yes. A commander Glock is my ultimate want. 19 slide, 17 frame. |

I asked in the other thread (as well as another guy) did you use a stock slide? I don't see any markings. Few companies still have the 9x19 or G19 shown, even when machined. Looks good. Yes factory slide. Only marking left is the Glock behind the ejection port and the serial. |
