Beautiful, Jay! I have wanted a two tone for quite sometime, but it is far too humid in NW Ohio. Hmmm, maybe a silver KG, or NP3 frame topped with a Black-T slide... Damn, I can't afford my vices. [email protected] |

there's some really nice work done to this pistol. But it aint all that. Things that can be fixed: Grips haven't been fit. The bottom edge is uneven to the frame. Not a big deal but considering the detail of other areas... The raduis on the front of the dust cover isn't clean. Hmm... There's one thing that can't be fixed: the fit of the frame to beavertail isn't as clean as I would expect. Too much material removed from the frame in the radius. Major no-no. eta: I'm sorry, were we just s'posed to pay attention to the 2-tone? |
Frame to Beave is just fine, IMO. Ever seen an out of the box Springfield Loaded? Some of their work is atrocious...or how about the jazzed Colts out of Colt's Custom shop? I know ten year olds who could do better work. Jason's work is a hundred times better than anything you'll get out of the box from the big Three. |
Well I've have shot it of course and it shoots just as one would expect, or maybe even better. Thanks for the words guys I always appreciate it... I certainly enjoy to get your feedback on the guns. |
OK. Fair nuff - Please post pics of a 1911 that you have built. Also, pleae show us what a properly fit beavertail should look like, as Jason has obviously not done a good job. |
