You will need a pack of 500 sheets of blank copy paper. And 3 inch red dot stickers for bullseyes. Why? because you cant shoot a black gun at a black target and aim at the exact spot and see where the black bullet holes are hitting with each shot. We will be analyzing each shot as it  hits and learn what you are doing right or wrong.

You will also need 3 ft. of rope, a monkey, some astroglide, and a pint of vodka.

Contrary to any other ideas of accuracy. In relation to our exercise there is only one rule( we are not talking about shooting 300 yrds with a 10 mph cross wind, with 80% humidity) and one rule only. " the moment the bullet leaves the barrel, the bullet will strke excactly where the barrel was pointing!"........This might sound like a big AAHHH DUHHH! But that is it. That is all there is to it. And I will show you why alot of people get it wrong.

You can do this with a Glock............Take a spent cartrige shell, take the unloaded Glock, cock the slide once as if to dry fire. Take the empty case and stand it on top of the slide. Point the Glock and squeeze the trigger. The shell should remain steady. That was easy you say. Now try it with a nickel! Take a new nicklel with a nice clean edge and stand it on top af the slide, point and dry fire it. Still standing? Dont even go to the range until you can do that.

You're are at the range. One sheet of computer paper, 3" red dot sticker in the middle. Paper on backer board with red dot at chin level. Send target down range to 7 yards. Load 5 rounds in mag. You are ready to shoot, but first three easy tips to keep repeating to yourself as you shoot.

First thing is a nice firm two handed grip. Not so tight your hand is shaking but firm. Bing the gun up to your line of sight, NOT your line of sight down to the gun. Second, aim slightly above dead center. Squeeze the trigger smoothly back and pretend the gun is empty,  when the gun goes off it should supprise you. ........Now here is the third and most important thing. Most people anticipate the shot, and knowing the gun will recoil up, push the gun down and to the left(assuming you are right handed). This is referred to as "flinching". They will also blink/close there aiming eye. Now think about this. They are trying to hit a bullseye with both eyes closed for a split second AND pushing the gun low left anticipating the shot. Do you really think they will hit the bullseye? To stop this.....DONT BLINK!, train your self not to blink. You should see the bullet strike the paper and the brass leave the gun. #1 firm grip. #2 smooooth trigger pull. #3 dont anticipate the shot by not blinking.

Thats all there is to it ten-ring. change the target every 5 rounds because you have to see where each bullet lands, and you dont need to try and figure out what hole was the last with twenty holes on the target. Plus when you get good at 7 yrds all the bullets will be going through a hole the size of a quarter anyway. Then take it out to 10 yrds. good luck buddy!

just clamp the handgun in place!
