...HK USP .45. Those of you that have them tell me what you think, good or bad. I like the feel of them and I've always just wanted an HK. Just looking for some input before I make(or don't make?) the jump.

I had one.  The only reason I got rid of it is because it was to big for me as a concealed carry gun.  It is a great shooter and very reliable.  They are a good investment.

IF i were to purchase an H&K pistol it would be for an investment only. After shooting some USPs i was not impressed but, that's coming from a glock guy. Why not rent one prior to the purchase. To me H&K's are a little high  in price.

Yeah, I have noticed they are a little high in price. And as stupid as this sounds, part of the reason I want one is because it's HK, there's sort of a prestige that goes with the name I think. So my mind is to an extent already made up, I'm going to go shoot with one some more just to make sure it's the one I really want since it will be a pretty significant purchase for me(it'll be my first handgun )

If you have the money and nothing else on your wish list is above the USP45 then by all means, get one!  However, they are big so handle one and try and rent one before you spend the money.

I have a stainless steel fullsize USP40. Love it. Was my first handgun. I just got a Glock 26. I've said this a bunch to several ppl. That I never fully appreciated my HK till I had a Glock. The HK is smooth, accurate, sharp, and just nicer. It's like a cadillac. I love the stainless steel slide. It's been since discontinued, but you have to keep it super-clean. You don't HAVE TO, but I do. Not once little bit of dirt on that gun. It's my baby.

Just be sure you handle one first and if you can, fire a rental one.  The grip is pretty large and the trigger reach is just too far for me, but my trigger finger is a little shorter than normal.

My brother has a USP .45,  its a big gun, but it was easy to hit the 100 yard gong almost every shot.  My USP .40 has never missfired.  I want a .45 cal usp one day.
