Lunacy. Please nobody be that desperate.
Was looking through the EE and I am now seeing a lot of listings going up. A lot of people bought guns and planned on turning a huge profit if this gun ban went through, which now since it isn't and the UN ban was voted down prices are starting to come down again so these people are trying to offload at ridiculous prices. If you don't like the price, don't buy it and move on. Please don't ad stomp in tech forums. -DV8 |

Not much more than what the local dealers here have wanted for years. Ever go to Basspro or Cabelas and look at gun prices? Yeah I've been to those places, but never seen a Gen3 G26 for $700 that's just stupid. Hey I guess if someone is stupid enough to buy it at that price then good for him then. |

they sell locally for 600-650 before the madness started....more for the colored frames. He'll get it. eta: that's shipped price too. he's not that far out of line With shipping and it being colored, I agree. It's not totally insane. I'm also failing to see how bashing on an EE ad is related to tech discussions. |

Semi-automatic pistols were not discussed being banned (recently) What you say might be applicable AR15s & AK47s but not a G26. What he's asking is not too crazy in this market. There are a lot more people who want Glocks than there are Glocks for sale right now so prices are naturally going to rise. That's just how the market works. Factor in that shipping a pistol is usually $50-$70 and he's probably not going to turn such a huge profit. Even if he does, who cares. He was the one who invested his money in it and can sell it forever someone is willing to pay. God bless capitalism. |

Not as crazy as this guy:
$900 Glock P.S. I'm all for capitalism, let him sell it for what he wants to - power to him!...but it doesn't make a $900 Glock any less asinine. |

I think it's in rather poor taste to be knocking another members listing in the EE. He can ask whatever he wants and I'm sure he doesn't need you spewing in the Glock tech forum or anywhere else on this site for that matter which could in turn hurt his sale. i think the OP has all the right too post this, i mean come on 700 is insane when i just purchased a gen4 19 from my shop for 550 out the door. its people like him thats hurting our pockets worse. we need help each other so it can get better not try scalp each other. |

Can someone translate this? I'm not intelligent enough to decipher it! If you don't like the price, move on and don't buy the item! I personally would just wait out the inflated pricing or shop elsewhere. |
| Went to Overtons aka Gander Mountain here in Greenville and they have a 3rd Gen G35 for $825. I had to laugh as the salesman was trying to tell a guy that they will be banned. The guy almost bought into it except when he asked if they had ammo and the salesman said they had been out for over a month. |
| My LGS will have my business for life. Throughout this whole craziness they have kept their prices respectable. Although their handgun selection has been thin, just last week I spotted a new Gen3 G19 in their case for $509. It went up a grand total of about $10-15 since I priced one in October of last year. Some of the other shops in my area will never see me walk in their doors again, regardless of what they might be selling for a great price. |
| If I followed that reasoning, I would have no place to shop. All of out LGS have raised their prices through the roof. A standard Glock, any size, is going for $649 now. If you say anything about the price, they just walk away. They don't care at all. It's sad. I used to think they were on our side. No longer will I view them as such. I don't think their wholesale cost has gone up for Glocks. If it had, I could understand some proportional raising of prices. |

Well, what the hell? Im sure a bunch of you turds in here own Mercedes and other expensive cars. All I can afford is a pissin Mazdaratti. Why all the hate if someone can afford to pay the bucks for something they might enjoy? True, I would be tickled to death to buy a damned Corvette for the price of a Kia because someone is stupid enough not to ask more money. Its hard to understand some people's concept of economics. If it isnt priced right for you, dont bother to buy, but if you got the money and gotta have it, whats wrong with paying asking price for it if it makes you happy?

It is interesting when a retailer raises prices to what some of us call gouging many people stop doing business there (spend money) yet a reference to similar high asking prices is defended in the EE by some people here. Many say that there is no such thing as price gouging, just free market forces.
Usually these are the people trying to sell, not buy. I picked up my last new USA made glock 17 at a show last month for $566 out the door including tax. There are still a lot of people trying to make money off the political climate and a lot of mags were purchased by persons just trying to flip for a quick buck and likely never had a gun that fits them. I hope the people that are just trying to cash in for a quick buck take a nice loss. It's hard to ask $50 a mag when they are trickling in at $30 retail. |

I would not pay it but that is not a stupid price. THE FDE Glocks I have seen are going for $600-$630 if you can find them in stock. Ifg he ships UPS or Fed Ex where it has to be overnight delivery that will cost him at least $40. Last handgun I sold just went to the next state and it cost $45 to ship. If he goes thru FFL and has them ship it USPS they will probably charge $20-$25 plus whatever USPS charges. I would bet someone buys it. Do not see that as bad as when people were buying PMAGS for $50 a piece or $1 per round 223.
If someone buys it then more power to him. |

Anyhow within 20 minutes I had an email offering $600. When I declined he immediately offered $650. I declined again. 3 hours later he emailed me again and offered $700... People are paying stupid prices for compact weapons right now. |
