i picked one up for 200.00 i dont own any .45 at all but have wanted one for a while.. i figured for 200.00 it wont kill me if its a lemon. i got it from a long time friend and the only reason he got rid of it was he got an inland i i think it was ww2 45 from his father inlaw..all original parts so far. my question is Ive read mix reviews of this online"ao" it just a plinker for me my glock is my goto gun... this is just to try out a .45 to see if i really like it "did i do ok?" rember its just a plinker not my primary handgun.. |
| I think you got what you paid for. I purchased mine for about 450. It came new in the box with a canted front sight and broken ejector. Replaced both and it shot fine. Oh, it also came with a barrel that looks like it goes from 1:6 twist to about a 1:10 twist. Must be the new Auto Ordnance super accurate barrel design. But, like I said, it shoots fine! Probably wouldn't hurt to take a close look and replace any sub-standard parts! |

my first 1911 was a Thompson A/O....I've posted about it here.....it was a POS. I don't think it ever got through a magazine without choking in 3 years. But for $200, you probably didn't do so bad. You can always use it to practice your 1911 troubleshooting, parts fitting, etc, and can probably sell it for more than you paid. |
