I never thought much about getting one of the many devices that are made to assist loading magazines. If my thumb is a little sore at the end of a day of shooting, that's just part of the fun right?
After loading a few of the FNP-45 mags I started to reconsider, those last few rounds especially are a b$#%&. I ended up buying an UpLula the other day to try and I have to say I was a bit skeptical, but wow, what a difference. Once you load a few rounds and start to get the hang of it you can really stack them up fast. And it doesn't leave you feeling like you smashed any digits. Apparently it's supposed to work on just about any pistol magazine but I haven't tried it on any others yet. As stiff as the FN springs are though it looks like it will earn it's keep. Definitely worth a try. |
