Alrighty,
I bought a Glock 19 back in '95.  I loved it.  Reliable.  Accurate.  What more could you ask for?  Well, then I got a 1911.  About four years ago, I sold my G19 and used the money to get a Browning Hi Power.  Once again, I loved it.  Reliable.  Accurate.  Ergonomics more like a 1911.  Well today I went to the funshop, just to poke around.  I was thinking of a Springfield WWII 1911, a SP101, or maybe even an XD.  Then I said to the guy, I says "Lemme take a look at the G19".  Turns out the grip angle wasn't as bad as I remember it.  The trigger wasn't as bad as I remember it.  The size was just about a perfect "split the difference" between a full size and a compact.  Well, wouldn't you know it, I bought the G19.  I figured EVERYONE should own a Glock.  Right?  Right?!

Now, since CCW isn't an option for me (until I move outta this God forsaken state), I'm looking for a Kydex-type holster that's legal for IDPA.  What's out there?  Should I get Wolff Springs?  What about the 3.5 disconnector?

I put the 3.5# disconnector on my G17 and it's been a sweet marriage ever since.

I'll do the same to every Glock I buy. I'm thinking about an OD G19 for Mrs. HS1.
Little does she know!

Congrads!!!

Trumpet - You did the right thing.

Good luck with your new pistol.

Shoot it as-is for a while, then decide what you want to do...or not do...to it.

I bought my g/f a Glock 19, which she ended up not liking. I kind of looked down my nose at 9mm pistols (I have a couple of 45 acp glocks), until I shot that 19, great pistol.

edit-don't know about modifications, I have never changed anything, except for the sights, on my Glocks.

When is the G38 in 45 GAP coming?? Once you try one, you'll be hooked.
