My wife bought a sub compact XD in 9MM two months ago. She has now fired 700 rounds without cleaning or oiling it. I do not go shooting with her as she goes with her lady friends. I asked her when she first bought it if she would like to learn to clean it. She asked me how she would know it would need cleaning I told her if it gives trouble or jams it needs cleaning. She fired it today for another 100 rounds no problems. I am going to quit asking how the pistol functioned when she comes home. I give up.
