I have always been a 9mm fan but I have recently acquired an XD 40 to have a different handgun caliber.
My FIL has a glock 19 and we are considering trading as he wants something a little smaller to carry.
If we trade, I will be back to 9mm only and I don't want to limit myself if something goes wrong in the future.
It wll give me three 9mm handguns...my EDC, my full size cz85 and then the glock 19.

Do it...then eventually get into 45 acp...start that chapter of your life with a 1911

Thought about that...I traded an entry level Charles Daly for the XD40.
I just wasn't feeling the 1911 at the time.

If I had to have one caliber it would be 9mm...I enjoy 45 as well but have no need for 40

Considering the reality of semi-persistent ammo shortages, I would not want to be limited to a single caliber.

Still not a big fan of the .40 though.
