| What can I expect as a fair trade in value a gun shop should offer me on my 220 compact in 98% condition with one tiny scratch? This is my problem gun and I will inform the gun shop of this to be honest. Thanks!!! |
| If your lucky, two thirds of Blue Book. It will be less than what you want. And your 98% is your dealer's 90% or less. And don't tell the dealer its your problem gun. Tell him it doesn't fit your hand, tell him you just don't shoot it much, tell him you don't like the color. But do not tell him its your "problem" gun. You just knocked 20% off the price. |

Note to self... do not buy anything from Ameshawki. SkagSig40 - I think it's very admirable of you to be honest with something you could easily hide to make a little extra $. That kind of character isn't real common anymore. I'm assuming you have contacted Sig to fix it? What about another gunsmith? Sorry you're having problems with it. I can't imagine a gun shop would give you more than $300 - $400 - if they would take it at all. Good luck to you. |
If ya tell the truth...well, the whole truth...you are gonna get ass raped on the gun. If it was mine, I would have Sig on speed dial and they would be cussing my name until the thing was fixed or they made it right by giving me one that DID work correctly...but that's just me.
