| I was looking at a used H&K at my local gun shop, and asked the dealer if he knew how to change the different configurations, since I was curious how it works. He didn't seem to know what I was talking about though, and tried to make me sound like I was mistaken. Who was right? Since I thought the H&K had like 10 different configurations you could switch between on any USP model, by just adjusting the parts. |

There are 9 variants. I believe they are interchangeable if you have a 1/16th" roll pin punch, and a good understanding of how it goes together. (Coutesy of HKpro) http://www.hkpro.com/uspvariants.jpg The other day, a guy at a gun shop was trying to tell me the Aimpoint on one rifle was the Burris "eXtreme Tactical Speed-dot" red-dot scope. i guess he didn't see the battery pack on the upper right side of it |

such a modification should only be attempted by an HK certified armorer. if you can detail strip your USP, you can reconfigure it (assuming you have the correct parts to do so). its easier than detail stripping a glock, and you dont even need the silly glock tool. all you need is a small punch and some tweezers or needle nosed pliers. |
no, it wont improve the trigger. it will only eliminate the decock feature. its a good idea because some people may accidentally decock the weapon when under stress or if they are accustomed to riding the safety with their thumb. the conversion is very easy to do yourself and requires a $10 replacement part. |
