I'm looking at mine, care to elaborate on the "wierd" your referring to and maybe I can help you out?

This is my first HK.  So all HK's have this triggerguard?  Is there a
functional purpose for the design?

Every HK design since the USP on up have the same triggerguards, including my P2000 and HK45.

Wierd shaped fingers?.......Not for sure, probably just a proprietary HK thing.  Great gun, though!!

I always theorized it might to be there to help deflect a foreign object from the mag release or help with friction retention in a fitted holster.
