Hello
I'm just curious at what trigger pull weight most like to have their carry piece set at? I carry 1911's and have all mine set at about 3.5 LBS. I just needed to add one thing I changed a couple of glocks to 3.5 lbs also and they still feel much heavier than the 1911's. |

For most standard striker fired or SA guns people are running they're at 4.5-6.5 pounds. Under 4 pounds it starts getting too light for some people. 3.5 pound 1911 is gonna feel different that the glock just due to design. Also, the 1911 may be a 3.2 while the glock is 3.7, the only way to find out would be to use a trigger pull gauge. Revolvers are another story. |

A 3.5# trigger on a striker fired handgun with a hinged trigger is not going to feel anything like a 3.5# trigger on a handgun with a straight trigger travel. For a defensive firearm, 4 pounds is about as low as I would ever want to go. Under stress that 4 pound trigger is going to feel like a 2 pound trigger. With much lower than a 4 pounder it's entirely possible to pull the trigger under extreme stress without even realizing it as a startle response. No thank you, please. A stock Glock trigger is about as low as I would want to go as far as weight. |

Stock/ factory trigger weight for carry. +1 +2 Not to mention the prosecutor trying to pin you with an accidental/negligent discharge with a hair trigger so that the BG's family can sue for your home insurance policy. Stock or manufacturer's recommended weight. |
