This may seem like an odd one: on that chart where you can find the quirks in your trigger pull (ie shooting 6 o'clock of your target due to breaking the wrist early), when they say too much or too little trigger finger....what do they mean?  In other words, when a right-handed shooter hits to the left of the target and a lefty shoots right of the target.  I was at the range, and I kept tearing out the 9 to the right of the target (i'm southpaw).

Too much finger means you have...too much of your finger in the trigger guard/the pad of your finger is not centered on the trigger. IOW, the trigger is too close to the joint of your finger.

Too little is the opposite.

Ohhh, thanks!  I was always thinking it had to do with the PULL itself.  Which is why it never seemed to make sense to me.

Check out the Army Pistol Marksmanship Guide for some good info.
