Thinking of springing for a G21 from an ad in Shotgun News...guns reported in good or excellent condition, bout 470$ (I think)...anybody get one?  CDNN or J&G Sales had them advertised?  Fired my a buddy's and it was easiest shooting .45 I have shot...just looking for some feedback on this option before I jump....tx, v/r Walt K

Grips are kinda large for folks with small hands.  I have one and like it very much.  Two trouble free years of service with very good service grade accuracy.  If I could have found a used one I would have bought one instead of a new one.

Great gun.  Hold it enough before you buy though.

I owned a G21 for years and shot it at the range.  Loved it.  The first time I had to use it to defend myself I realized I wasn't comfortable with the grip size.  As I sat in my house with a looney-tune dude I didn't know yelling threats as he paced back and forth outside my house, I wished for a shorter grip.

That guy - some random dude on the street - got picked up by police prior to me having to put the gun into use.  But the sweat on my palms told me all I needed to know.

The 21SF is a perfect fit for me.

ETA: clarification.

You should look around locally.  I have seen a few listed for a $450 or less on the EE and GT in VA.
