I'm looking to join the H&K club finally! Wanting a varient 1 in 45acp with either the Standard or Expert bbl. Question is how much is fair pricing on one of these new? I've looked online and there is no consistancy. Also how much do extra mags run?

CDNN was running a special a few weeks ago for full size USP 45 Var. 1 w/green frame and two 12 rnd mags for $672.  That is a pretty good price.  Also check Shotgun News.

The dealers usualy pay about $650 for the standard barrel USP.45 in any varient then add a percentage to make a living,  usually a very large %.  Just try to find one closest to that price.

About the mags, very expensive even after the hi-cap ban whent out, but thats to be expected for an HK product.  I saw some at the gunshow, new HK 12rd for beetween $50-$60ea.

The gun itself is worth every penny. I love mine!

Which is it, a USP .45 or an Expert .45?  The USP and the Expert while built on the same frame do not use the same slides.  A USP can be had new for around $700.  The Expert will run about $1300-$1400 and has match sights, longer o-ringed barrel, longer slide, ambi safety/decock, and match trigger, and comes in a cloth Black Hawk HK soft case with cleaning kit, sight tool, trigger overtravel screw tool, extra bobbed hammer, and 4 or 5 extra o-rings and two mags.
The USP will have fixed sights, shorter plain barrel (no o-ring) and slide, left side safety/decock (V1), and standard trigger and come in the hard black foam lined case with two mags.
You cannot buy a USP with an Expert barrel, no such animal exists from HK and even if someone did throw in a Expert length barrel the o-ring would be in the wrong place to work with the standard USP slide.

Big-Bore, sorry about that. I was thinking about the USP Elite. I check prices and it looks a little to high for what I'm wanting right now.

So the 700 mark is fair pricing? Thanks alot for the help guys and I hope to be posting a pic of my new H&K not to long from now. My two favorite colors are the standard USP and the grey frame, just have to see which I get the best price on.

$700 is about right.  Have you seen the gray framed USPs?  I know opinions are like a$$holes, everybody has one and most of them stink, but my God, that gray frame is about the ugliest color I have ever seen.  Still, it IS your money and if that is what you want then that is what you should get.  Price should be about the same.

HK does not make a gray, or any color other than black in stainless, and all stainless pistols have been DCed from production, not just importation.  In order to get that picture we took the slide off a stainless USPC and slipped it on the gray frame just to see what it would look like.

Kinda depends too and where you live and whether you'll be sourcing it from the internet or getting it local.  Local around here is more like $800 as a good price.
