Ok guys need some help.  Looking to switch from my current G22 to a HK USP 45 sometime in the July time frame and am looking around to find the best price.  Who on the internet has the best price.  Just looking for the Variant 1 model regular USP no tactical, expert, mark anything, as this will be a duty weapon.

I looked at the USPs last weekend. they are bigger then they look in pictures. Nearly as big as a desert eagle. I still want the tactical model.

My first choice is my Springfield Operator but until the powers that be decide to trust in their officers to carry what they can shoot I have to settle for the next best thing.  The tactical model is nice but the courts would have a field day wit hthe threaded barrel not that its legal here anyways.

Check out Bugs-n-Bullets on GunsAmerica.  They are a great little company to deal with and have very good prices.
Also, in Gun Lists and Shotgun News Bachman Pawn and Gun in Dallas Texas usually have some of the best prices I see around.  They are also on GunsAmerica but usually do not have a lot of guns listed.
If you don't mind used, keep a close eye on CDNN (download catalog) as they have some great prices on USP and USPC from time to time.

As big as a Desert Eagle, no freaking way.  If you saw a HK almost as big as a Desert Eagle it was not the USP or any version of it, but rather the Mk23 SOCOM.  Now that one is close in overall size to the DE even though the grip is nowhere near as deep.

Big as a DE? Did you put it an inch from your nose to look at it? Maybe the grip is a bit large, but I never had a problem with it. I CCW'd one for years without a problem - even in Arizona. Galco SST shoulder holster and obnoxious Hawaiian shirt.

If you get one, practice lots with it. I ended up putting about 10,000 rounds through mine in 10 years. Even if you wear a uniform, I'd suggest a good practical pistol course and some type of competition regularly. I shot IDPA every month and range time at least once a week. Shooting skills deteriorate over time. Keep them sharp. A good friend of mine, who is an instructor, recommends that for every live round you fire, you should dry fire 5 times or more to master trigger control.

Be careful with the safe/decocker lever. I engaged mine in a match by mistake while doing a speed reload. Freaked me out when she wouldn't go bang. Took me a couple of seconds to figure it out. Next variant will probably be decock only.

I'm carrying a P220 right now, but will get another USP45 soon. I like the 12 round capacity.

Good luck.

Yeah, my tactical is big, but it aint close to a DE.

I also own a Mk. 19 DE in 44 magnum.  Big gun (and somewhat worthless too I dont know how their prices compare to the other places mentioned, but I got my USP45 tactical from RSR group.
