I'm looking to buy a few compact floorplates for my .40cal P2000. Midway only has the 9mm magazine floorplates in stock. Are the 9mm and .40cal mags that different in size? I was wondering if the 9mm floorplates would work on my .40cal magazines.

I am assuming that you are looking for the flat floorplates?

I got mine here but they are out now.

Except for caliber markings (if they have them because some do, some don't) they are the same floor plate.

Thank you, sir!

Wrong. I just got mine in from Midway today and they leave a large gap between the floorplates and grip. These will be going back. Good thing I only ordered 2.

That is indeed odd because the 9mm and .40 frame are exactly the same.  When the .40C mag is used in the 9mm it works perfectly with no gap nor is there any gap between the 9mm mag when used in the .40.  Something is wrong because the floor plates should be the same except for caliber markings.

That is odd. I thought the same thing as many 9mm and .40cal handguns feature the same size frame. My baseplates are not marked at all and after installed on the magazine and inserted into the p2000, it appears that the .40cal versions will be a bit taller to fill the gap.
