I have a USP Compact 9mm. and when the gun barrel is pointed to the ceiling and then moved towards the floor, I can hear plastic ring traveling down the recoil spring assembly. I know it is suppose to be there but just don't recall it ever doing this before. It annoys me because it just sounds like things with in the gun are moving and , well...not good. Is this normal? The ring is there to what it seems travel up ajdn down the spring but it just bothers me. __________________ Linux Operating Systems Admin. Using Windows is useless... |

I just tried it with my USPC-45 , it doesn't move at all , even when I shake it . So I removed the slide and looked , with the slide off it will move up and down the spring with gravity . In looking at it , it appears that there is just enough friction in the frame to hold it in place on the .45 once the slide is installed . |
| My USP 9mm Compact does it too. I never really noticed until you mentioned it. I'm not really concerned about it - seems pretty minor. The gun shoots well, never had any kind of failure with it, and it makes less noise than the change in my pocket. However, for $700, you'd think they could take out the rattle. |
