Im still new to all this, but is ultramax a good deal, or would it be considered crap?  Im not sure what lead round nose bullet is?  they look the same in the picture.

these are the cheapest rounds I can find, other wise its paying like 48 cents a trigger pull with winchester.

very dirty... low accuracy... If you want to get used to the recoil of the weapon it's ok... I've actually put 150 rounds of the lead rn through my 1911... never again though.
I actually keep some of their 55grn NoslerBallisticTip .223 ammo, in one of my ammo cans... very comparable to the Fed TRU rounds... they actually look better S x S... accuracy is ok too...

The Lead Round Nose is a waste, but having no ammo is worse.

The pic they show is probably fmj, not Lead round nose... it's basically a rounded lead ball tip...

Well, for me I have never had any problems with UltraMax, and it looks like FMJ.. as for it being dirty I have no clue what you are talking about.. It was always clean for me.. I used to shoot UltraMax 68gr Match HP (.223) in my Armalite 16" HBAR, at matches and it was very good stuff always sub moa and there 62gr FMJ (.223) is good ammo to, never had issues with it being dirty and I could pull off 1" goups all day with it.. only thing is you cannot find any .223 or 5.56 or any of the top used ammo right now.. I have never ran UltraMax in my Glock 17 but I would since I know it's good stuff..

Jump on that buy man..

he isn't talking about fmj...
LEAD ROUND NOSE... there is NO JACKET at all, let alone fmj...

re read my post.. I stated the HP, NBT that i use in my ar-15 is very good quality reloaded ammo...
I would use any of their ammo, EXCEPT the one the OP is asking about. Lead Round NOSE (google it) to see what it really looks like. many times the manufacturer doesn't provide the proper photo of the round...

one last effort...
If the ad states that it is for Lead Round Nose, then that's what it is. Not, Full Metal Jacket...
You may wish to call to verify that I'm correct. i don't have to make that call because I have purchased them in the past, and know what I'm talking about... this time atleast.
there may be many times I'm not 100%, but this time I am.

below is a proper pic of LRN
www.midwayusa.com/.../highres/336587.jpg

there is no jacket, just the lead projectile going down the barrel... Def. a lil dirtier, because the is no metal jacket...

thank you... next thread.

Nothing wrong with lead bullets in pistol calibers, especially .45 ACP.

i bought a 250rd box a dicks a few months back of ultramax LRN 9mm.

dirty dirty ammo, and had larger felt recoil than other ammo.  Not sure if this has anything to do with the lead.
