We all have our individual tastes when left to our own devices at the FFL counter, but then someone raises a topic, posts a pic, what have you that really opens your eyes and infects you with the notion of having one. I was wondering if a thread or pic post here or another forum compelled you to (re)examine a firearm you otherwise would not have considered.

Mine was the Colt Diamondback. Who in the hell would pay a premium for a dressed up .38 when a perfectly good Smith .357 or at least half a Python could be had for the same? Then I found one in 97% condition on the EE and bargained my way down to @ $500 shipped . It was a neat little mini python that compelled me to get a twin brother in .22  Collectability be damned... that .22 is too fun NOT to shoot.

So, what has the internet influenced you to covet?

My 'influence' was cheaper…

I bought an H&R 926 in .22 in 1975. I loved the lines of this little break top revolver.

Years latter I wanted its companion, a 926 in 38 S&W.

Now who in their right mind would seek a 5 shot revolver in 38 S&W!

Found one in 1992…

It doesn't take a lot to spur me out of my seat and in the direction of the gun shop.  Any old excuse will do.

I lust for a lot of different guns that guys have posted pics of here. However I don't have the kind of income to buy all of them. Usually I'll get hooked on one for a while then go on to something else.

Right now I really want a Springfield loaded model 1911. The thing is, the only other 1911 I ever wanted was a SA GI model. Now I've just got to get the loaded model. A couple of months ago I had the extreme urge to get a suppressor for my SBR 9mm AR. Of course the SBR was another gun I had lusted for after seeing pics here. Before Arfcom I had never wanted a SBR, let alone a 9mm SBR.

I've also coveted stainless-steel mid-length SPR-type AR uppers, but I probably won't buy one. The internet did lead to my purchase of a SA M1A, as well as my Stag 16" "M4gery".

I know that every time I come to this website I may just see a pic of something that I've got to have, much to the detriment of my savings.

AR15s in general.  Never really considered one until this site.

But, funnily enough, I got convinced.  Until the Masada......

In terms of handguns?  Nope, straight HK/1911 fanatic.

I really, really, want a loaded to the gills high-end custom 1911 of some sort.

Seems like everytime I get several thousand saved up to buy one I end up buying an NFA item instead though

Since I got the 2nd MK23, you can add another MK23 magazine to each side.

This place, without question, is the sole reason I have 24 or so MK23 magazines.  I blame you.  All of you.  Once again...

ARFCOM has influenced me a lot in the firearms I've purchased recently.  The Glock 19 and S & W 686 Plus is recent purchases that were made because a few experienced forum members posted constructive feedback on this guns and were kind enough to post some eye candy for me to peruse.
