We all have our individual tastes when left to our own devices at the FFL counter, but then someone raises a topic, posts a pic, what have you that really opens your eyes and infects you with the notion of having one. I was wondering if a thread or pic post here or another forum compelled you to (re)examine a firearm you otherwise would not have considered. Mine was the Colt Diamondback. Who in the hell would pay a premium for a dressed up .38 when a perfectly good Smith .357 or at least half a Python could be had for the same? Then I found one in 97% condition on the EE and bargained my way down to @ $500 shipped So, what has the internet influenced you to covet? |

I lust for a lot of different guns that guys have posted pics of here. However I don't have the kind of income to buy all of them. Usually I'll get hooked on one for a while then go on to something else. Right now I really want a Springfield loaded model 1911. The thing is, the only other 1911 I ever wanted was a SA GI model. Now I've just got to get the loaded model. A couple of months ago I had the extreme urge to get a suppressor for my SBR 9mm AR. Of course the SBR was another gun I had lusted for after seeing pics here. Before Arfcom I had never wanted a SBR, let alone a 9mm SBR. I've also coveted stainless-steel mid-length SPR-type AR uppers, but I probably won't buy one. The internet did lead to my purchase of a SA M1A, as well as my Stag 16" "M4gery". I know that every time I come to this website I may just see a pic of something that I've got to have, much to the detriment of my savings.
