I don't want to take away from the OP in his 19 vs 23 thread, so I wanted to ask does anyone know of a company that sells used glock slides?  Specifically I'm looking for a 23 slide.

ETA:  I've done some reading that suggests that a 23 slide shouldn't be used on a19.  Anyone know if that's true?

As far as a 23 slide on a 19 frame, most frames are identical for 9, .40, and .357. If it has three pins, it's good to go for a 23 slide. The older two pin frames are the one's that could be problematic. This pic explains better: Glock Frames

EDIT: I'm an idiot with links...

For a used one check the EE and Gunbroker.  For a new one, Glockmeister, The Glock Store, and Lone Wolf.

All three-pin 9mm frames ARE NOT good to go for .40 slides.

Source? I was pretty sure the reason that they went to 3-pin was because there were durability issues with the .40(locking block damaging frame and such). All current production Glocks use identical frames if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks for all the info, guys.  I know used 23 frames aren't falling out of trees, and for the price of a new one I'll either look for a police trade or get a brand new 23 at the homeland security price (which would give me 3 mags as well).

If you can get a new Glock with the LE discount I'd just do that.  Finding a complete slide at a reasonable price isn't easy, but you can try the EE.  You could always buy a complete G23 and then sell the frame.  If you do put a G23 slide on a G19 frame be sure to switch to a .40 ejector as well.

I'm also intrigued.  Which ones are not safe to convert to .40?
