Just came back from the range and had a problem with my V10 carry gun.
Failed to feed the second round with a ALL my mags. Two colt mags, 2 springfield mags and 2 wilsons, some 7rd and some 8. Started with open action, inserted mag and closed the slide. Would fire first round and fail to feed second. Shell appeared to be bullet down a little in the mag and slide would not return to battery. Tried loading one less round in the mags and that didn't help. Same thing. Only the second round and it was consistant! Would empty the reat of the mag no problem. Anyone have any ideas? I am not the original owner (got from brother in law). How is Springfield about repairs if you are not the original owner. I really lke the smaller carry gun but not if it isn't 100%. Guess I'll be carrying the Champion till I can get this fixed. Appeciate any help, Thanks |

I owned one that did the same thing you describe i sent it back to springfield armory I had to pay the freight. They polished the feed ramps replaced the spring basically replaced all the internals .
SA shipped it back in less than 2 weeks . it no longer had the FTF every 2nd round issues It did however FTF every 4rd ,It was a POS i sold it and took a big loss on it. I wish i had better news for ya . |

SA doesn't care how many hands it's changed, they stand behind their products. And it's none of my business and to each is own, but a ported barrel is a very poor choice for a carry gun IMO. |
| Sent the V10 out today....I'll post back and let you all know how it turned out. So far, it was pretty painless. Called and told them the problem I was having, got home and had a shipping label in my E-mail. Boxed it up and it's on it's way. No cost to me, can't complain about that! |
