I held a VP9T and the RSA is noticeably stronger than the standard VP9. Are they using a stronger spring?

If so, does anyone know the pros and cons of upgrading to the new RSA in a standard VP9?

Thanks. I may call HK. I thought there would be more buzz about this subject considering the comments MAC made on the recoil spring in his review.

Just out of curiosity, are their perceived issues with the RSA?  I have a regular (non T) VP9.

The slide can be too easily knocked out of battery. MAC complained about this in his review and argued that this was the reason for some of his gun's failures.

I can confirm that when I reholster the slide will occasionally come out of battery. To prevent this, I now place my thumb on the back of the slide.

It's all minor. I haven't had any reliability issues. But I was curious if HK had changed springs because the VP9T I held felt completely different.

Ah gotcha, yeah the RSA seems lighter compared to other striker fired guns when holstering etc.  In fairness though my 1911's are even lighter and only stay in battery because of the thumb safety.  And I tend to think other polymer guns are oversprung but hey what do I know?

Has anyone shot the VP9T and the VP9 side by side? Any difference in recoil impulse or muzzle rise between the two?

You can confirm this, eh?

That's funny, I can confirm that mine has never gone out of battery when re-holstering. EVER.
